Tanks-A lot is a tank driving experience centre based near Silverstone. The company holds a monthly public tank driving experience day and had been selling their tickets via third party websites. The owner Nick had also been selling some military vehicles and also providing a H Licence (the category required on your driving licence to drive tracked vehicles on the road) course with test.
What we delivered.
About the project
We were tasked in developing a new website to replace their old HTML website, that had an ecommerce capability that could sell the driving experiences (saving considerable money on third party fee’s) through, list military vehicles for sale, expand on corporate services and add the H Licence course.
After establishing the sitemap, we developed ecommerce section of the website, with a dedicated Driving Experience Page listing all the experiences with a “buy now” button. The admin team then receive the payment and purchase notification from the website and PayPal.
We then created a new page purely for military vehicles for sale. We expanded upon the content for Search Engine Optimisation and created an overview of all vehicles for sale, which updates every time a member of the admin team adds a new vehicle.
We then expanded the Corporate Services to include everything the company does, such as military vehicles for film work (we included a blog of previous works and logos of tv/films) promotional work with logos of previous clients and a blog of previous works, venue hire and corporate team building days.
They company has won a number of awards for experience days and has amassed a lot of reviews, so we embedded these in the homepage and relevant experience day pages.
Nick is also prolific on social media, so we added social icons to visit their accounts and streams to see latest content.
We selected a military green colour scheme with military fonts and used lots of pictures taken of driving experiences at the venue.
